2026 is upon us..
13 years of pillaging and plundering our ways through the waiver wires, 13 years of cutthroat savagery and incredible adventures. As time passes many things change, while some remain exactly the same. This year will be the first international mission for the crew. We set sail for Nassau, Bahamas and begin a journey that will change the fate of the oceans. Here are just a few reminders from you Captain about changes on board…
Ship Assignments
Crew members will now stay with their ships. The Pearl and Dutchman crews will wage war from the same decks for the foreseeable future. No longer will sailors transfer ships between voyages. While pirates tend to be selfish in nature, it would behoove you to get familiar with your ship mates, and strategize, as the Captain will be hosting a series of challenges where the best performing ship will have first opportunity to draft their own crew.
Champion Celebration
For the first time ever, a new Champion will be honored in person with the entire crew. The festivities will be that worthy of King. We look forward to celebrating the 2026 champion at the Brethren Court.
Reseeding in Playoffs
ESPN has added a new feature to reseed playoff teams. This process was voted on and ratified by the members.
Also a reminder that regardless of ESPN policy, the tie breaker in a PLAYOFF TIE only, will be bench points
Opportunity to make history
Several scenarios are out there, that could impact the history of the league. Here are some things on the horizon of possibilities in 2026:
- Chef wins his first trophy and leaves Jman as the lone participant with no hardware to speak of.
- Jman finally reaches the mountain top and claims his first championship after 13 years… cities will burn.
- Waldo or Will become the first ever 4-time Champions
